Ok folks. We have 2 Facebook pages. One is a community page that I am admin for. I don’t think it is a public page so not sure who can post on it etc. the other is a group page where people can be added and then these are able to post. Question is do we get rid of one or keep both. I will look into making the community one more public tonight. Let me know yours thought

I've decided to have a Facebook detox, so I'm off there for now. If I had any thoughts though I'd say keep the public one. May main gripe is the the forum still has those annoying ads and reCAPTCHA. Hence the reason why I never hardly go on it anymore.

The forum at present is free with (agree) annoying ads. To have them removed will cost £45 per year for a clean forum (will check cost).

If committee agree to this just need a credit card number from someone. This rolls round every year so is automatically charged etc. which i personally dont want.

Ian, This is in no way meant as a criticism of any kind, but we could have both a website with gallery and loads of space and a forum with no ads for way less than £45.00 per year, probably nearer £20 for the lot.  I think we should have further discussion on this, maybe arrange a meeting?

I agree with Ian Perry, it's about time we had a meeting.

If anyone wants to do a wordpress site / forum etc im happy for them to take it on. Slight update to present google site is not problem but anything else, ive not got time.

Present Google Website and Forum cost zero at minute. Thats why ive done them this way.

Maybe its time for something even more professional, for me not sure its that high up agenda really.

But if a more pro site / forum is required it needs money and someone to take it on and i will pass over my mouse... ha

No criticism taken...

Just to point out. I didn't intend to mean this as any criticism to Ian. This is a "Club Forum", and the club should pay for it. Not Ian. ✌️
